Divisions will be offered if at least 8 entries are received. Split divisions will be allowed but the two divisions must be contiguous.

The 2023 CGO presented by Babolat has a capacity up to 180 players.
DIVISION GUIDELINES
Division Description NTRP Rating
Open Highly Advanced 5.0 and up
A Advanced 4.5 and up
B High Intermediate 3.5 - 4.0
C Low Intermediate 3.0
D Beginner 2.5 and lower

Please use this chart for a description of the divisions. It is the sole responsibility of each individual player to enter the division most appropriate for his or her ability. Rule of thumb: when in doubt about which division is most appropriate for you, enter the higher division, not the lower one. The tournament committee reserves the right to move participants to a higher division should player history and additional criteria warrant it. Once play has begun, players observed playing in a division too low for his or her ability WILL BE DISQUALIFIED at the sole discretion of the tournament committee.
SCHEDULE OF PLAY
19 - 22 May 2023 (Victoria Day long weekend)

Match Play will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday May 20. All finals will be played on Monday with matches scheduled to be completed by 6:00 p.m.


PLEASE make your Monday travel plans accordingly. Toronto Pearson airport is approximately a 35-40 minute drive from Mayfair Parkway where all finals will be played.
MATCH CATEGORIES

Singles Matches

Match Play will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday May 20. All finals will be played on Monday May 22 with matches scheduled to be completed by 6:00 p.m.

Doubles Matches

All doubles matches will be 2 sets, with regular scoring, and 12-point tie-breakers played at 6 games all. Third set will be a 10-point super tie-breaker.

Consolation Play

Consolation play will be offered to players who lose their first singles match. Play will begin on Sunday at a site to be determined. Match format will be 8 game pro-sets (first to 8 games wins), no-ad scoring, with 12 point tiebreakers at 7 games all. Early consolation rounds might be played on a different surface. Consolation finals matches will be 2 sets, with regular scoring, and 12-point tie-breakers played at 6 games all. Third set will be a 10-point super tie-breaker.

The registration deadline is May 7th, 2023. Note that the CGO presented by Babolat has reached full capacity before the posted deadline the past five years. We recommend you register sooner rather than later.

Refunds

Full refunds (not including on-line processing fee) will be returned to players who withdraw before May 7, 2023. No refunds will be issued after that time.

All refunds will be processed after the conclusion of the CGO presented by Babolat.
