DRAW SIZES
Divisions will be offered if at least four (4) entries are received. However, 50+ age divisions are capped at 16 players. If we do not secure 8 players registered in a particular age division, that division may be merged into the regular draw. Split divisions will be allowed but the two divisions must be contiguous. The CGO 2026 has a capacity of approximately 175 players. |
DIVISION GUIDELINES
Please use this chart for a description of the divisions. It is the sole responsibility of each individual player to enter the division most appropriate for his or her ability. Rule of thumb: when in doubt about which division is most appropriate for you, enter the higher division, not the lower one. The tournament committee reserves the right to move participants to a higher division should player history and additional criteria warrant it. Once play has begun, players observed playing in a division too low for his or her ability WILL BE DISQUALIFIED at the sole discretion of the tournament committee. |

SCHEDULE OF PLAY
17 - 19 May 2025 (Victoria Day long weekend)
Match Play will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday May 16. All finals will be played on Monday May 18 with matches scheduled to be completed by 6:00 p.m. PLEASE make your Monday travel plans accordingly. Toronto Pearson airport is approximately a 40-45 minute drive from Mayfair East where all finals will be played. |
MATCH CATEGORIES
Singles Matches Match Play will begin on Saturday May 16. All main draw matches will be best two out of three sets, with regular scoring, and 12-point tie-breakers played at 6 games all (NOTE: "12-point" tie-breaker is first to 7 points by two). Third set will be a 10-point super tie-breaker. All finals will be played on Monday May 18 with matches scheduled to be completed by 6:00 p.m.PLEASE make your Monday travel plans accordingly. Toronto Pearson airport is approximately a 35-40 minute drive from Mayfair Parkway where all finals will be played. Doubles Matches Match play will begin on Saturday, May 16th. All Doubles main draw matches will be best two out of three sets, with no advantage, receiver team chooses side to receive, and 12-point tie-breakers played at 6 games all (NOTE: "12-point" tie-breaker is first to 7 points by two). Third set will be a 10-point super tie-breaker. Doubles play will revert to regular scoring for the finals and potentially for quarterfinal and semifinal matches as well.Consolation Play Consolation play will be offered to players who lose their first singles match. Play will begin on Sunday, May 17 at Mayfair Parkway. Match format will be 8 game pro-sets (first to 8 games wins), no-ad scoring, with 12 point tiebreakers at 7 games all. REGISTRATION
Entry Fees
Registration for CGO 2026 will be at 12:00pm (EST) Sunday, February 1st, 2026. Registration fills up fast so don't be late. Should you be unable to secure a spot and wish to be added to the waitlist, please email registration at registration@cgo.tennis. Please indicate the events you wish to be waitlisted for. Refunds Full refunds (minus a PayPal processing fee) will be returned to players who withdraw by no later than the WITHDRAWAL DEADLINE. No refunds will be issued to players who withdraw AFTER the WITHDRAWAL DEADLINE. All refunds will be processed within 30 days of withdrawing from the tournament. Only withdrawals made through the GLTA tournament web site will be recognized.The WITHDRAWAL DEADLINE is 6 April 2025! PLEASE NOTE THIS CHANGE IS SIX WEEKS BEFORE THE TOURNAMENT. Online Registration
